Spencer
Clements

Spencer Clements founded the firm in 1996 and named it after his two sons.  Prior to forming William Cole, Spencer worked at the boutique consulting firm of Kenneth Leventhal & Company and also as Director of Project Finance at Golf Services Group in Houston, Texas. Spencer led the company's creation of award-winning hotels (The Stella in Bryan, Texas and The Josie in Rossland, British Columbia) and its partnership in the development of Traditions Club and Community and Lake Walk, Bryan/College Station's premiere master planned community. A native Houstonian, he now resides in Bryan where he is actively involved in the community.

 

Spencer holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Rice University, where he was the Dean’s Award recipient and was named a Jones Scholar. He holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, where he was a President’s Endowed Scholar. Spencer currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for Destination Bryan, the local destination marketing organization.

Chief Financial Officer
David 
Segers

As CFO of William Cole since 2000, David  coordinates new project formation and the analysis, acquisition and development of complex real estate assets. Responsible for the financial and administrative management of William Cole's portfolio of companies, David works closely with on-site employees, ownership, counsel and outside advisors to coordinate the daily accounting, financial controls and ongoing operations of each entity.

 

David’s experience encompasses international project finance, real estate, retail, hospitality and accounting, including several years as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.

 

David holds BBA degrees in both Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University and has been a CPA in the state of Texas since 1989.

Vice President, Development
Justin
Shulse

Justin Shulse has been a member of the William Cole team since 2006 and is responsible for leading the company's residential development and asset management activities. With his extensive experience in landscape and hardscape, Justin also oversees outdoor amenities and events for mixed use projects focusing on hospitality and unique community experiences.

 

A native Texan, Justin moved to Bryan/College Station in 2016 after nearly 20 years in the Greater Houston area. While at New Mexico State University, Justin earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture specializing in Turfgrass & Soil Science. Upon graduation, he proceeded to work in the fast-paced, upscale environment of golf course construction, golf course openings and senior management of high-end clubs and courses. Justin has served on the board of directors for South Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association where he held the position of President and became the delegate on the national level.
