Atlas Introduces Lake Walk Town Center

Pedestrian-Friendly, Wellness-Focused Enclave the Hub of Exciting Master-Planned Development

(BRYAN, Texas) – ATLAS – the master-planned development at the epicenter of the Texas A&M Biocorridor and next to Traditions Club and Community – introduces Lake Walk, the new identity for the town center featuring lifestyle and outdoor pursuits as well as exciting employment opportunities.

The pedestrian-friendly, wellness-focused Lake Walk offers an upscale reprieve from the hustle-and-bustle of student-focused retail, restaurant and housing dominating the Brazos Valley. The Stella Hotel – a 176-key, high-end independent property currently under construction – and the five-acre Lake ATLAS will be the focal points of the 180,000 square-foot town center.

Inspired by tree rings and the environmental and architectural elements of the town center, Lake Walk incorporates the “A-Trail” – a linear trail system of over two miles of parks, trails, ponds, Lake ATLAS and wellness amenities emphasizing a healthy lifestyle.

“The word ‘Lake’ epitomizes the natural surroundings at ATLAS and the tree rings connect to the ‘Walk’ and architectural elements in the town center,” says Spencer Clements, Principal of ATLAS and Traditions Development. “Lake Walk’s tie with nature distinguishes the town center and ATLAS as exceptional places to live, work and play.”

Also under construction at Lake Walk is the MatureWell Lifestyle Center – a health and wellness center devoted to seniors. Construction will begin soon on a pavilion and observation tower plus a waterfront park on Lake Atlas. Plans are also being developed for retail and restaurant spaces.

Bryan-based Stafford Barrett Commercial Services in partnership with Transwestern is the leasing agent for Lake Walk.

ATLAS is adjacent to the Texas A&M Health Science Center, two miles from Texas A&M University and Easterwood Airport. The College of Veterinary Medicine, the $32 million Hildebrand Equine Complex, Mays Business School, Texas A&M Research Park, National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing and the Texas Institute of Preclinical Studies are all within 2.5 miles.

ATLAS recently announced ViaSat (NASDAQ: VSAT), a global broadband services and technology company, entered into a purchase and sale agreement enabling it to acquire 8.6 acres to construct a new Texas facility. ViaSat is the first global technology company to move a facility to ATLAS, and the latest highlight for the burgeoning planned community.

Earlier this year, The Stella Hotel hired noted hotel executive Peggy Trott as general manager. Also, Parc at Traditions, a senior living enclave adjacent to Texas A&M University’s 200-acre Health Science Center campus, is scheduled to open spring 2017, and unveiled its new website www.parcattraditions.com.
